Kokoshnik is an old headdress, a symbol of the Russian national costume.

Through this creative project I present the traditional wedding dress style of Eastern countries. I was inspired by the traditional headdress for women called Kakoshnik.

This decoration is an integral element of the festive costume of a Russian woman.

Kokoshnik has the shape of a fan, a crescent. It is decorated with laces, beads and sequins that signifies the high social status of a girl's family.

Inspired by this style and these shapes I created a mask decorated with beads and handmade lace.
